Ann Hinton Allen, PTA

Ann's career transition into healthcare as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) began when she earned an Associate of Applied Science from Roane State Community College in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. In 2009, she obtained her Texas license to practice as a PTA in the Lone Star state.

Prior to becoming a PTA, Ann obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. In her previous life as a zookeeper, she cared for various animal species in zoos across the country from Minnesota to Florida to Texas. Her zoological responsibilities included providing public educational programs and highly specialized care for exotic animals.

As a cancer survivor, Ann knows how important it is for patients to understand their health condition and treatment, using physical therapy to gain mobility, strength, and independence. She continues to expand her levels of expertise through her active interaction with experienced professional staff members, educational programs offered by Georgetown Therapy, and formal off-site seminars and workshops.

As a recent transplant to Central Texas, Ann enjoys cooking, gardening, camping, and hiking with her husband and their two dogs. She is excited about exploring state and national parks in the area and serving patients in the Georgetown and Liberty Hill clinics.
